Nowadays, telemedicine is increasingly recognized as a promising tool for healthcare delivery. It improves access to medical care while reducing the need for travel. Additionally, tele-visits help reduce overcrowding in healthcare facilities and enhance productivity. The main aim of this study is to evaluate the benefits that both patients and healthcare facilities gain from the tele-visit service offered by the National Cancer Institute G. Pascale (Naples, Italy) in the context of Pain Therapy, with a focus on the economic and organizational aspects of the service. The findings confirm that patients and caregivers save time and costs, simultaneously improving the environmental impact. Besides, they indicate that telemedicine has the potential to significantly improve healthcare delivery and, more broadly, enhance patients' quality of life. Again, the integration of advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence and Machine Learning, could further enhance the capabilities of this service, ensuring personalized care pathways and greater resource optimization. However, certain limitations emerge that hinder the widespread adoption of telemedicine in our country.
