A Sociological Study of Hope: Is Hope what Will Save Us? Interview with Emiliana Mangone

This year saw the publication of Guido Gili and Emiliana Mangone’s Towards a So¬ciology of Hope: Looking Beyond. This book will be of significant interest to schol¬ars of the sociology of culture, sociology of emotions and comparative sociology. It raises complex questions that offer a new perspective on key sociological issues and concepts, such as social solidarity, social action and social relations. Here, Emiliana Mangone elucidates many of their arguments and demonstrates the potential for sociological inquiry into society through the lens of hope in an interview.
