This article offers an analysis of the relationship between gender and sustainability culture, because this relationship is the key element of a cultural shift that, in turn, places the very concept of the environment within the framework of ecofeminism, along with the issue of socio-environmental justice and gender inequality. The underlying hypothesis that guided the development of this paper is that the transversality of ecofeminist visions fosters a different interpretative perspective based on the importance of cultural change as the cornerstone of action strategies aimed at ecological transition. Building a culture of ecology and feminism is possible through the idea that within the gender issue itself lies a force for change that pursues environmental protection and sustainability. The key word for change with an ecofeminist approach is, “care”: caring means not only consciously changing attitudes but also preparing political actions oriented towards the person and their social, economic, and environmental dimensions. Building a society that aims to care for the social system starting from political choices and actions therefore means enabling a cultural change that can also accelerate the ecological transition.

Abstract
Building a society that aims to care for the social system starting from political choices and actions therefore means enabling a cultural change that can also accelerate the ecological transition.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
