In the knowledge society the ultimate goal of education is not only to make learners learn but mostly to grow a correct learning behaviour that creates the best conditions for them to reach learning goals in a controlled and directed way. In many cases, a lack of self-regulatory skills is the main obstacle to adequate regulation and a new class of learning tools, named metacognitive tools, is needed. In this work we present a novel solution for self-regulated learning that tries to solve this issue by recommending feasible learning goals covering explicit and implicit learning needs and by generating individualized learning experiences based on recommended goals.

Abstract
In the knowledge society the ultimate goal of education is not only to make learners learn but mostly to grow a correct learning behaviour that creates the best conditions for them to reach learning goals in a controlled and directed way. In many cases, a lack of self-regulatory skills is the main obstacle to adequate regulation and a new class of learning tools, named metacognitive tools, is needed. In this work we present a novel solution for self-regulated learning that tries to solve this issue by recommending feasible learning goals covering explicit and implicit learning needs and by generating individualized learning experiences based on recommended goals.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
