This paper addresses the issue of the rehabilitation of the prisoners, engaged in external jobs, as stipulated by Article 21 of the Italian Law 354/1975. From historical and pedagogical reflections on the prison, it is possible to understand the evolution of educational pathways and the different conception of the work during the transition from the "obligation" to an "opportunity" of social redemption. Thus, it was decided to adopt a hermeneutic approach based on biographical interviews in order to understand expectations, perceptions and mental representations of prisoners. Abstract
This paper addresses the issue of the rehabilitation of the prisoners, engaged in external jobs, as stipulated by Article 21 of the Italian Law 354/1975. Thus, it was decided to adopt a hermeneutic approach based on biographical interviews in order to understand expectations, perceptions and mental representations of prisoners.
