During the Fascist era, a number of scholars, though not approving of the regime’s dictates on economic matters, did not shy away from developing rigorous and effective economic policy models that would later be applied in the new democratic context. Ezio Vanoni is among these intellectuals. He intended to place his tax policy studies within a framework of economic ethics and sensitivity towards the social aspects of the economy. This view of public intervention (always vigilant in avoiding the risks of inflation) shared an ideal commonality of thought with the early Ordoliberalism of the ‘Freiburg School’. Vanoni’s contribution to the Code of Camaldoli represents an actual fil rouge of our work, in that the aforementioned document represented the basis of the ‘Economic Constitution’.

Abstract
During the Fascist era, a number of scholars, though not approving of the regime’s dictates on economic matters, did not shy away from developing rigorous and effective economic policy models that would later be applied in the new democratic context. Ezio Vanoni is among these intellectuals. He intended to place his tax policy studies within a framework of economic ethics and sensitivity towards the social aspects of the economy. This view of public intervention (always vigilant in avoiding the risks of inflation) shared an ideal commonality of thought with the early Ordoliberalism of the ‘Freiburg School’. Vanoni’s contribution to the Code of Camaldoli represents an actual fil rouge of our work, in that the aforementioned document represented the basis of the ‘Economic Constitution’.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
