Taking its cue from the references made by Cicero to the human and procedural affair that had the alleged parricide Sesto Roscio as its protagonist, the essay aims to examine, in the category of paternal coercive powers, the measure of segregation indicated as rusticana relegatio and the implications it produced in the individual public and private sphere of the recipient. Although such a sanction could actually constitute a corollary of parental authority, its exercise seems to meet limits when it interferes with the possibilities of participation of the filius in public life.

Abstract
Taking its cue from the references made by Cicero to the human and procedural affair that had the alleged parricide Sesto Roscio as its protagonist, the essay aims to examine, in the category of paternal coercive powers, the measure of segregation indicated as rusticana relegatio and the implications it produced in the individual public and private sphere of the recipient. Although such a sanction could actually constitute a corollary of parental authority, its exercise seems to meet limits when it interferes with the possibilities of participation of the filius in public life.File in questo prodotto:
