The recent study of the mosaic pavement in Fleury Abbey allowed to reconsider the problem of the lost liturgical installations in the monastery main church, Nôtre-Dame, between 9th and 12th centuries. Even if both architecture, decorations and artifacts were modified or even destroyed, thanks to medieval sources such as chornicles, vitae, and liturgical uses, it is now possible to understand how sacred space was modelled. Moreover, thanks to modern analysis and records that include reliefs, graphics and pictures, it is possible to analysis the interactions between artifacts and space during Middle, digitizing the information in a 3D model of the church. This approach, that combines art history and digital modeling, allows to verify scientific hypothesis and results, as well as to disseminate knowledge in a more effective way.

Abstract
This approach, that combines art history and digital modeling, allows to verify scientific hypothesis and results, as well as to disseminate knowledge in a more effective way.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
