This research work deals with the plane wave diffraction due to the discontinuity of a planar junction between a magnetically conductive half-sheet and a perfect magnetic conductor. The uniform asymptotic physical optics approach is used to solve such a diffraction problem in the context of the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction. The corresponding solution results from an analytical procedure and possesses the same simplicity of use of the heuristic solutions.

Abstract
