The paper opens a series which will be published in the next issues of the magazine to outline some possible “Ways of sustainability”. Different themes will be faced, all referable to libraries sustainability, trying to make point on national and international literature and case studies and proposing some critical reflections. The first article presents the theme of sustainable libraries and analyzes library buildings from a theoretical and technical point of view and through Italian and foreign examples of sustainable library projects.
