The challenge to respond to new didactic and pedagogical needs and the role that the school architectural space plays in the educational process require the adoption of a transversal and interdisciplinary approach, so that the project can increase through comparison and dialogue between knowledge in a logic of authentic disciplinary integration. This does not mean that the architectural project can be a mechanical derivation of this dialogue and that it is possible, for example, to deterministically translate progress in the pedagogical field into new spatial configurations. Certainly, addressing the project of the school building by observing the issue from different perspectives can be an opportunity to return new visions, to visualize forms more in line with new needs starting from the sharing of skills, the hybridization of approaches and common research of visions for the future. The paper will develop the general theme of the dialogue between architecture and pedagogy starting from some specific design research, conducted as part of the scientific research and teaching activities carried out at the DICIV of the University of Salerno.
