Abstract
Pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs) are plant-derived toxins with hepatotoxic and carcinogenic effects, increasingly detected in contaminated food products like spices and herbs, especially oregano. A sustainable UHPC-MS/MS method with SALLE extraction was validated for PA/PANO analysis, showing high sensitivity and efficiency. Analysis of 105 herb samples revealed 75% contamination, emphasizing the need for monitoring and regulation.File in questo prodotto:
