Introduction

Defining with due consideration the genesis and scientific purposes, as well as the importance of the volume we are on the point of presenting here, is a difficult task. Indeed, the most complex aspect to manage is that the essays this volume includes deal with highly hybridized research methodologies, which associate the practices of a specific type of Natural Language Processing (NLP) with those of other extremely dissimilar disciplines, such as Sociology, Cyber Security and Italian Morphsyntax. Hence, one may wonder how three essays with such different contents may refer to a common analytical framework so to be publishable together, in the distinct volume we are here introducing.
