Highly porous aerogels were obtained from sPS physical gels by suprecritical carbon dioxide based extraction procedure. During experimentation, in the clathrate phase, the corresponding aerogel was formed by semicrystalline nanofibrils with microporous crytalline δ-phase. Sorption experiments at low chloroform pressure confirms that these δ-aerogels show high sorption capacity similar to sPS δ-form samples. These new aerogels, which are easily prepared, costs low, and accompanies high sorption kinetics, are applicable to industrial processes of chemical separation and water purification.

Abstract
Highly porous aerogels were obtained from sPS physical gels by suprecritical carbon dioxide based extraction procedure. During experimentation, in the clathrate phase, the corresponding aerogel was formed by semicrystalline nanofibrils with microporous crytalline δ-phase. Sorption experiments at low chloroform pressure confirms that these δ-aerogels show high sorption capacity similar to sPS δ-form samples. These new aerogels, which are easily prepared, costs low, and accompanies high sorption kinetics, are applicable to industrial processes of chemical separation and water purification.File in questo prodotto:
