Abstract

Taxicab geometry, recognised as one of the most accessible non-Euclidean geometries, has proven to be a valuable teaching tool to foster meaningful learning of Euclidean geometry concepts. Its use was explored with high school students and in teacher training, where the need emerged to develop structured teaching resources to support teachers in the preparation of activities to be implemented in the classroom. The design of a didactic path represents not only our response to this natural need but also aims to open up a reflection on the possibility of integrating it into current educational practices as an innovative tool for teaching geometry in high school.
